BLACKBEARD’S BOOTY is a new form of dinner theater—interactive, improvised and fiercely funny! Loosely written and even more loosely directed by Frank O’Donnell, the show features some the fiercest and funniest characters ever to plunder the Seven Seas:
- Captain Thomas Tew—a Newport native who considered himself the Robin Hood of the High Seas
- Captain Henry Morgan—he parlayed his personal booty into ownership of a rum distillery, where he’s the primary consumer
- Mary Read—one of the bravest and most ingenious lady pirates in recorded history
Add in a few other colorful characters—like Katie the Cupboard, Yahoo the Pirate, our serving wench, Chastity Belt, and our local wench, Quahog Cassie —and you’ve got a night filled with belly laughs! Sir Francis Drake—a contemporary and rival of Blackbeard’s—is your emcee for a night of great fun and great food.
Throw in fun stuff like a “genuine” duel and the election of the Pirate King—do you dare ask for more?
