Hometown: WalthamBio: The newest rising star on the stand-up comedy scene is here. Twenty-one year-old John Baglio has been making audiences laugh all over New England for the past two years.
Known for his “shock and awe” style, this baby-faced comic is quickly making a name for himself amongst the region’s best and brightest. John has been featured on CollegeHumor.com, competed in the 2010 Boston Comedy Festival, and is a regular at Wisecrack’s Comedy Club in Worcester where he opened for Chelsea Lately’s Josh Wolf this past July.
Aside from comedy, John has had a slew of odd jobs, working as a custodian, a waiter, a coach, and a thief, though none have shown much success (especially the thief part). Currently, he manages his school’s basketball team, where he has the challenge of earning the team’s respect by toting their balls around. Also, he’s a test tube baby.
Expect big things to come from this wide-eyed and oversized adolescent.
