Hometown: CumberlandBio: Melody has called New England home (or close enough) for over 30 years, raising two children and any number of pets.
Melody made her first comedic appearance in her teens with a ventriloquist dummy sidekick, but didn’t really take the plunge until she decided to try her hand at stand-up comedy.
This time it was for relief from her work in the so-called “real world.” She works in healthcare technology where she is regarded with both amusement and suspicion (“You, uh, don’t do comedy about US, do you?”) relative to her chosen avocation.
Despite the observation that being a female comic can be a buzzkill for dating, Melody has taken the stage at Catch a Rising Star in the Twin River Casino, Stage Right in Woonsocket and other local comedy venues.
